a recap of February Goals

1. Mail Valentine’s to friends and family [done! I love sending & receiving Valentines!]

2. Make at least two new recipes from scratch (I’m eyeing this quinoa pad thai) [done! I made the quinoa pad thai & adored it, and I also made a brussel sprout & apple chicken sausage dish that was delicious]

3. Read four new books & continue reading through the New Testament this year (up next: John) [done! I read The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Mockingjay, A Prayer for Own Meany, The Longest Ride, and Serena in February]

4. Launch a couple new and exciting projects/websites [YAY!!! So proud of this! My Etsy shop is up and running, has premiered, and Stephanie Scholl Events has launched! Whew. What a wonderful, rewarding, and productive month its been!]

5. Continue to update Avelist weekly and use it regularly [done! Check out Tips for Hosting a Dinner PartyWedding Invitations, & Hints for a Happy Marriage]

6. Play tennis/run/use my pedometer – and look into joining a tennis league for when it’s warmer out [I ran a couple times when we had a warm weekend, thank goodness. But every time I had a tennis date scheduled, there was snow on the courts – boo! I’ll keep adding this to my monthly goals as it warms up!]

7. Visit my four fabulous grandparents in Ohio & host some wonderful visitors this month [done! Such a wonderful long weekend spent in Ohio with my four grandparents (and some other family)! And my dear sister, Bridgette, and one of my closest friends, Allie, came to visit me in DC!]

8. Visit Bao Bao, the baby panda at the National Zoo, with Bridgette [done! oh so cute! Read more about Bao Bao here!]

9. Be more conscious of using reusable bags at the grocery store & remember to actually use them [Let’s just say I could do better on this!]

1. Celebrate my birthday in style!

2. Create a ‘Spring in DC’ to-do list

3. Play tennis and run outside regularly

4. Buy flowers for someone else, just because – and for myself, just because

5. Attend a couple fabulous bachelorette parties & host some lovely visitors

6. Try one new restaurant

7. Go to the farmer’s market & cook a fresh meal

8. Continue to practice calligraphy

9. Read four new books + continue reading through the New Testament
