Who’s excited it’s Friday?! For some reason, this week seemed long than usual – it’s likely the fact that there were no holidays or snow days to break up the week. I’ve also been looking forward to this weekend for a long time, and that doesn’t help the work week speed up any! Not only am I going to Chapel Hill after work this evening, but it’s my birthday this weekend. I’ll be in Chapel Hill, one of my home sweet homes, for fewer than 24 hours – but those 24 hours will be jam-packed with goodness! I’m doing a little wedding planning with a dear friend/client, visiting with my college roommate & her sweet baby boy, and enjoying Franklin Street + UNC’s campus with my amazing parents who are coming into town to see me for my birthday. Now doesn’t that sound like a wonderful day?! Tomorrow also includes…

TWO

Southern-Weddings-Calligraphy-Workshop

The main reason I’m going to be in my beloved Chapel Hill this weekend is for the Southern Weddings calligraphy workshop on Saturday (I wrote a bit about it here). I am so very excited – and a tad bit nervous! I can’t wait to actually learn calligraphy from such an amazing pro, I can’t wait to be back in Chapel Hill, and I can’t wait to meet all of the fabulous ladies who will be there tomorrow afternoon. I’ll be sure to report back with more details, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a marvelous afternoon!

THREE

It’s also been a busy week with book clubs! The two I’m in are so much fun, and I’ve immensely been enjoying some of my recent reads. Last night, one of my book clubs met at Science Club to discuss The Silver Star (Jeannette Wells). And my other book club will meet next week at our favorite local sushi place to discuss The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (Junot Diaz) – which I loathed (: So I’m excited to discuss that book and see if anyone else liked it!

FOUR

Downton Abbey Hosts a Party in the February 16 Episode

I can’t believe Season 4 of Downton Abbey is over! I actually didn’t realize it was the season finale until about halfway through this week’s episode – such a short season. But so good! The costumes and dresses were exquisite, as were the regal settings; it’s hard to take your eyes of the screen because everything is just so mesmerizing. And the plot – oh, the plot. So many twists and turns + ups and downs throughout the entire season and this episode! There are so many fascinating characters, and I love how interconnected everyone is. I am perpetually hooked to the plot lines, and I really loved the final scene in the ocean. I’m already counting down til Winter 2015 for Season Five to premiere!

Last week was SO exciting announcing the official launch of my new website (stephaniescholl.com) and Stephanie Scholl Events, my wedding and event coordination & design business! What a wonderful week it’s been – I’ve felt so much encouragement, love, and support, and I am really proud of myself for conquering a large fear of mine and just DOING it! I’ll be working (on the side!) with several fantastic brides, and I’ve been busy meeting with them already. Don’t forget that you or your friends can contact me, too!
