I can definitely relate to Anne Shirley on this one – I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers!
Fall has always been one of my very favorite times of year, and as always, I’m looking forward to another beautiful Fall! As much as I love the busyness of summertime, the warm sunshine, the endless weddings & traveling, and the cookouts and pool days, I’m already starting to get excited for crisp mornings, bright, colorful leaves, pumpkin-and-apple-everything, and everything else associated with autumn. As usual, I’m sharing my seasonal to-do list filled with my favorite Falls activities and things. Join along in the fun with me?!
Fall 2013
-annual all-things apple & pumpkin day
-bake an apple or pumpkin recipe from Southern Living
-go to a winery
-visit Carter Mountain for apple/pumpkin picking & try apple cider doughnuts
-host a chili & cornbread dinner party
-go hiking (Great Falls)
-carve or paint pumpkins
-Skyline Drive/mountains to see the fall foliage
-Mount Vernon Fall Harvest Day (Oct 26-27)
-drink: Octoberfest beer, mulled red wine, apple cider, pumpkin spice latte
-make “thankful” treats for friends for Thanksgiving

What things do you love to do in the Fall?! Is it your favorite time of the year?
I am finally resigning myself to the fact that summer is over. This was inspiring….I definitely need to make a list of Fall goals to help make myself excited about the autumn!
