Decking our halls in our home is absolutely one of my favorite things, and the magical glow of the lights (both white and colored lights!) on our tree keeps me mesmerized! We’ve been watching lots of Christmas movies by the light of the tree, making sweet little memories at home with just the two of us, and have been attempting to savor quiet moments reflecting on the Advent season. I’m also clearly a fan of classic Christmas decor (it’s about the only time of year where I like the color red!), and there is so much sentimental meaning behind much of our decor. Many items and heirlooms (like our nativity scene, Nutcrackers, ornaments, and more) have been passed down from my grandparents and also my parents, and a few items are newer Shaul family traditions that are such treasures to us.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care… there’s little I love more than decorating the mantel for Christmas! With the fresh evergreen garland, our treasured hand-knit stockings (made especially for us by my talented aunt!), a wreath framed on the mirror with a big red ribbon, a collection of mini bottle brush trees, poinsettias, tartan blankets, and Nutcrackers passed down to me from my grandparents, this is the happiest, most festive spot in our home!
I hope you enjoyed a little peek inside our home decked out for Christmas! It feels so festive and magical, even if we’re the only ones enjoying it, and I just love working downstairs or watching movies together this time of year. We feel so fortunate to have the ability to decorate our home and enjoy it, and we really can’t wait to host our family and friends here to enjoy the magic of this wonderful and joyful Christmas season!

I love how you have festive touches in so many spaces! I always enjoy seeing other people’s decorations (especially ornaments since I adore adding to our collection). It’s so lovely that you’ve incorporated so many family treasures into your Christmas decor.
Thank you so, so very much!! Decking our halls with Christmas cheer brings the biggest smile to my face! And yes, adding ornaments to our collection is such a special tradition. Family treasures and heirlooms around the house bring back the sweetest memories, for sure!
Your home looks amazing, sweet friend! I love the festive touches in every room and am swooning over the wreaths on your barstools! 🙂
Thank you tons, Kyla!! Wish you two could be here to enjoy it with us – and you know how much I love those wreaths and ribbons on our barstools! xoxox
It is so beautiful!! I am with you–December is the only time the color red is even on my radar! 😉 Your gorgeous mantel and the wreaths on your bar stools are my favorite parts!
Thank you tons, Lisa!! I think our mantel, tree, and wreath-bedecked bar stools are also my favorites… red is so cheerful and traditional this time of year! xoxox
