Decking our halls in our home is absolutely one of my favorite things, and the magical glow of the lights (both white and colored lights!) on our tree keeps me mesmerized! We’ve been watching lots of Christmas movies by the light of the tree, have had plenty of friends over, and have been attempting to savor quiet moments reflecting on the Advent season. I’m also clearly a fan of classic Christmas decor (it’s about the only time of year where I like the color red!), and there is so much sentimental meaning behind much of our decor. Many items and heirlooms (like our nativity scene, Nutcrackers, ornaments, and more) have been passed down from my grandparents and also my parents, and a few items are newer Shaul family traditions that are such treasures to us.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care… there’s little I love more than decorating the mantel for Christmas! With the fresh evergreen garland, our treasured hand-knit stockings (made especially for us by my talented aunt!), a wreath framed on the mirror with a big red ribbon, a collection of mini bottle brush trees, poinsettias, tartan blankets, and Nutcrackers passed down to me from my grandparents, this is the happiest, most festive spot in our home!
I hope you enjoyed a little peek inside our home decked out for Christmas! It feels so festive and magical, and I just love working downstairs or watching movies together this time of year. We feel so fortunate to have the ability to decorate our home and host friends and family in it, and above all, we hope our home is a welcoming, safe, calm, fun, warm, and inviting space for our community and loved ones — especially as we celebrate the Advent and Christmas season!
I love your couch and your dining room table! Do you remember where you got them? Such beautiful Christmas decor
Thank you!! Our couch is almost 2 years old and is from Havertys — we love it so much! And our dining room table was custom built for us!
