I am back with another interview from one of my fabulous brides! This week’s spotlight bride is Michelle Billick. Michelle is tying the knot in Charlotte on November 11th (this Saturday!), and we are counting down the days to her big day!! It’s so fun getting to learn a little more about my brides and to be able to share with y’all! I hope you enjoy learning about Michelle and Trevor because they are truly an amazing couple!
PS: I’ve known Trevor since middle school Youth Group, and we’ve been friends for almost two decades! Michelle is SO perfect for Trevor in every way. He and Michelle were at our wedding, and Rob and I are so very excited to celebrate them this weekend at their own wedding, too. It’s been such a blessing and joy working with these two for over a year planning and designing their wedding, and I can’t wait to share more as we celebrate them!
- Tell us a little bit about you and your fiance! Where you’re from, your jobs, where you live, how you met, funny/quirky things about your relationship, what you like to do together etc.
I can happily report that Match.com actually works. Well, at least it did for Trevor and I! We exchanged a few messages on Match before going on our first date in April 2015 in Charlotte, NC. Trevor grew up in Charlotte and works for Wells Fargo. I grew up moving around the country and recently moved back to Charlotte after spending some years in NYC and Chicago working in advertising. I remember going into the date more optimistic than past first dates. Based on Trevor’s profile I felt like we would be very compatible. This first date would put those thoughts to the test, and wow did my thoughts hold true. The next three plus hours flew by as the conversation was so easy and intriguing. We realized very quickly we connected in many ways. I was glowing as as we said goodnight and I thought to myself “That was the best first date I ever had.” Guess you can say the rest is history. A few of our mutual interests include working out, going to concerts, seeing friends, watching tv shows, watching (and attending) Hornets and Panthers’ games, and going to the local breweries. We also are raising a Beagle puppy and enjoying every second with her.
- What are you most excited for about your wedding day?
I’m very excited to see my handsome groom and officially make that lifelong commitment to each other. I’m also really looking forward to celebrating with all of our friends and family by our side.
- What was your biggest inspiration for your wedding design?
Um don’t think I had one. It took me a little while to come up with a vision. Like many other brides, I spent several days on Pinterest. I was drawn to candles/greenery/creams/white/and gold. Then I decided to include one bold color in the mix, navy.
- Are you doing a first look or saving it for walking down the aisle?
First look 🙂
- Describe your style in one word.
Classic
- What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind?
Trevor and I would probably have the same response here – evenings on the couch watching TV together with our puppy, Winnie by our side
- What is something you’re passionate about?
Besides Trevor? 😉 I love working out. I’m big on Pure Barre and running. Running has cut back lately due to our hectic schedule, but looking forward to picking it back again post-wedding.
- What has been the biggest surprise in the wedding planning process?
I’ve always known that a lot goes into the planning process, but I guess I’d say I didn’t realize just HOW much. There are so many little details you have to think about throughout the process.
- What is your favorite part of your wedding design?
My dress
- What is your favorite thing about Trevor?
Ah I never like this question because it’s so hard to state only one thing. Trevor is an incredible man. He’s loving, handsome, funny (nails the Dad jokes), loyal, hard-working, genuine…I could go on 🙂
Thanks Michelle! We are so excited for November 11th, it is going to be a stunning day, and I can’t wait to share more about Michelle and Trevor’s wedding in the upcoming months!
