This courthouse elopement is everything! Jake + Heather captured the perfect, most genuine shots of this radiant bride & groom’s special day. So often, it’s all about the smallest meaningful details to showcase and celebrate a love story. From the flowering calligraphy vows to the daintiest blooms in the bout to the complementary silk ribbon to the fabulous shoes and a rose gold beauty of an engagement ring… these little details paint a much bigger picture and celebrate a love story’s significance!

I am overjoyed to see this vision brought to life and showcased on Once Wed! Editorial shoots are always so inspiring and fun to take part in, but having a real life couple show such a joyful, effortless, genuine, and fervent kind of love for each other makes it even better!

The vibrant bouquet (filled with rare Japanese ranunculus!) by the oh-so-amazing Kelly Perry paired with this gown and shoes by BHLDN were the perfect combination to showcase the simple beauty of true love. Small as they may seem, details really do matter… and sometimes less is more!

I also am enamored with the juxtaposition of the flowers and feminine details of the bride against the grey stone of the courthouse. I love the tones, the textures, and how all of these details play off one another.

Working alongside a group of insanely-talented vendors is never something I take for granted. I love editorial shoots so much because they’re more than just trying to create something pretty. It’s about inspiring others to live a deeper life of love, to focus on meaningful & unique details, to celebrate life + love + beauty + joy. Shoots bring together a plethora of talent, they build genuine community & collaborations, and they allow vendors to showcase their creativity and passions. I am so very blessed to continually work alongside the most amazing vendors who become friends & who continually push me and inspire me in my work.
