Pink & Yellow Flowers

One of my dearest friends, Lindsey, is getting married in a few short weeks! We threw her a bridal brunch her in DC to celebrate her upcoming nuptials, and I wanted to include some fresh flowers on the table during our brunch in Georgetown. Every table looks infinitely better and more festive with fresh flowers, right?!

Thanks to the market and a little foraging in my yard, I whipped together four small bouquets. My yard has some gorgeous soft yellow daffodils (a variation of the traditional daffodil, I’m thinking) in full bloom right now, so I took my floral shears out to the yard. Aren’t they just beautiful? I thought pairing yellow and pink, a perfectly sweet combination for a bridal brunch, would work so well together. The pink tulips opened up a bit more by the time I got set them on the table for brunch, and the eucalyptus was the perfect accompaniment to fill out the bunch.

And gold striped glasses (from C. Wonder) kicked these little bouquets up a notch, for sure! Fifteen minutes and a few dollars on fresh blooms… you can’t go wrong with these cheerful floral arrangements. It was so, so special celebrating Lindsey & being surrounded by so many close friends!flowers4
