This weekend, I was able to explore a new favorite D.C. bridal boutique – Lovely D.C.. And boy was I enamored! My darling roommate is getting married this May, and her dress arrived over the weekend! A couple friends and I accompanied her to Lovely in Georgetown to try on her dress and find a veil. Lindsey knew that Lovely was right up my alley (and hers!), and it did not disappoint! What a beautiful, and dare I say, lovely, boutique this was! The second we walked in for our appointment, we were greeted with this gorgeous “all you need is love… love is all you need” chalkboard surrounded by paper hearts (made out of classic love stories, like Pride and Prejudice – swoon!). I loved every bit of the vibe and style of Lovely, and it was a calm and beautiful space. The dresses were all so, so breathtaking, and many of my very favorite designers were present.
Lindsey’s wedding dress fitting went exceptionally well (I clearly can’t show photos from that portion of the trip!), and she looked beyond stunning. Several happy tears may have been shed! I loved the private, intimate, and unpretentious feel of the store, and the ladies there were so friendly and helpful. And seriously, it’s just a gorgeous boutique filled with so many marvelous veils, belts, accessories, jewelry, and gowns. I can’t wait til I have another D.C. friend – or bridal client – who is ready to go wedding dress shopping so I can come back!
