Fall Tablescape | Inspiration

Though we’re not hosting any dinner parties or Thanksgiving this year, I had so much fun putting together this fall or Thanksgiving tablescape inspiration! If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you probably know that my favorite colors – for weddings, home decor, my wardrobe, or anything else – are dusty French blue and white with pops of pinks/coral or green. I don’t love reds, oranges, or browns very much, though I adore using a traditional red at Christmastime! For this fall-inspired tablescape design, I wanted it to feel autumnal, warm, inviting, and a mix of timeless yet fresh in design… and without the traditional deep reds and oranges, too themed, or an abundance of pumpkins. I would absolutely use every one of these items to create a fall or Thanksgiving table that’s a little unexpected, versatile, cozy and chic, and just so beautiful and inviting.

  1. flower rattan placemat to add an organic texture, playful layer, and warmth to your place setting
  2. flax striped linen table runner for a subtle yet striking layer that can be used year-round and adds visual interest
  3. golden yellow patterned linen napkins for a warm pop of color that ties in the autumnal palette and adds that perfect dimension of colorful tones
  4. taper candles for a soft glow, warm ambiance, and necessary height on your dinner table
  5. dual toned black and gold flatware for a bold, memorable, and luxurious flatware selection without being too sweet
  6. tortoise shell glassware for a festive, fun touch in a timeless design and perfectly autumnal palette
  7. etched wine glasses to add a subtle, elegant shine to enhance your place setting
  8. gold leaf napkin rings for a cohesively autumnal and chic addition
  9. natural linen tablecloth in a subtle vanilla shade to complement your place settings and let them shine
  10. speckled stoneware dinner plate for an artisanal, earthy addition that juxtaposes the colorful linen napkin
  11. speckled stoneware salad plate that matches the dinner plate and adds more depth and dimension to your place setting
  12. marble and wood salt and pepper cellar to cohesively tie the warm autumnal tones and textures together with a special touch

I’m a sucker for collecting unique glassware and tableware, and those tortoiseshell glasses and etched, gold-rimmed wine glasses are calling my name! I also love that the yellow patterned napkins could be used throughout the year (along with most everything here, if you just switch out some details to rework the design!). Which items do you love the most, and how are you decorating for Thanksgiving this year?!

PS: here’s how we decorated for Thanksgiving last year!

Bridal Shower Soiree | Trendy Bride Magazine

There’s nothing better than your best girlfriends, especially when you’re styled in head to toe Anthropologie! I loved working with Mel in Chanel, the personal stylist at Anthropologie Raleigh, to pull together four killer outfits for our bride and her bridesmaids for this phenomenal bridal shower! Lots of pink, white, gold, and copper made up the soft and sweet palette for this editorial shoot. The whole day was pretty magical and the entire vendor team was truly phenomenal! We’re SO excited and honored to have our Valentine’s inspired bridal shower soirée featured on Trendy Bride Magazine!

Every bridal soirée should be as soft and sweet as this invitation by the uber talented Sage Paper Co.! We used a subtle “xoxo” theme throughout this shoot, along with fun pops of metallics, and this invite totally sets the stage!

And how adorable is this gift box filled with champagne, a succulent, a copper Moscow Mule cup, and the cutest heart-shaped sugar cookie? I know I want one!

This tabletop is a dream – I love how white, bright, and blush it is, along with the “xoxo” table runner and lush florals! Anthropologie provided the tabletop pieces, along with florals by yours truly.

This simple and sweet dessert bar from Randi at Sugar Euphoria is perfection for our bridal shower soirée! Mixed metals, blush, and lots of white make me very, very happy, and this two-tiered cake stole the show.

These raspberry macarons from Sugar Euphoria are so perfect in this brass Anthropologie container, don’t you think?! Like little jewels! I adore every detail of this Valentine’s inspired shoot, and macarons are my love language, for sure.

You can see the entire feature, the story, & our inspiration over on Trendy Bride Magazine, and also on Mel in Chanel, one of our favorite local fashion bloggers + the wardrobe stylist of this shoot! Thank you so much, ladies, for sharing this – we are grateful!!

Goodness, these ladies are so amazing and beautiful inside and out! I love every aspect of planning shoots, but one of the sweetest perks is getting to know so many incredibly kind, generous, and talented ladies. Working alongside the best people, seeing creativity abound, making every detail beautiful and meaningful, and laughing til you cry! Shoot days can be long, but it’s pretty amazing to see your vision come to life with the help of so many friends! The creative energy and excitement is so palpable!! Grateful for all of these beauties and the ones not pictured, too!

This Week

sagepaperco

This week is a busy one, especially considering it’s the “off-season” for weddings! Well, I’m coming to realize that there’s really never an off-season when you own your own business, but there are definitely times of the year and seasons when there are more weddings than others, more editorial shoots, more behind-the-scenes business work, and new + exciting business updates. Anyway, I have two styled shoots and the Carolina Inn Bridal Showcase this week, so it’s going to be a little crazy… but in the best way possible!

I am really excited to bring these two shoots to life, and I’m also looking forward to the Carolina Inn bridal showcase on Sunday! It’s the first time I’ll ever be in a bridal showcase/bridal show, and I can’t wait to meet the sweetest brides and grooms there! These watercolor calligraphy placecards are the most beautiful addition from Alexa at Sage Paper Co., and I have been swooning over them all week!! I spent time this past week finalizing linen and tabletop rentals for the bridal showcase and my shoots, as well as spending a few hours at Anthropologie for an exciting addition to an editorial shoot. It’s been a full few weeks of details, timelines, emails… and some fun outings like these, too! anthro

I’ll be sharing a ton throughout the coming few days on Instagram, so be sure to follow along there, too!
