Little luxuries

As much as I love the big, grand moments and adventures of life, there is much to be said about the simpler, sweeter moments in the in-between and in white space, as well as finding joy and peace in everything that we possibly can. I’m most definitely a celebration enthusiast and am eternally optimistic, and there are a plethora of little luxuries in life that deeply resonate with me and bring me a wealth of happiness. I think we all have “little luxuries” in our lives that are our go-tos when we have a few free moments or are in need of a special pick-me-up. I think it’s so vital to recognize things that bring us deep joy — not things that other people like, things that are trendy, but things and moments and actions that are true little luxuries to each of us. If I’m having a bad day or feeling off or simply just want to, these luxuries are the things I turn to the most often for an instant mood boost and to remind me that there is so much goodness, beauty, and life all around us — and that life is meant to be enjoyed!

  • painting my nails hot pink or coral

I’ve been keeping this running list of my own personal little luxuries and joys for months now, but I’m sure I’ve left plenty off of this list! I think it’s so important to find things that bring each of us our own version of happiness, peace, and comfort. So many of the things in my list above make me feel most alive — and remind me of what a sweet, sweet blessing life is!

“Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” – Roald Dahl
