What’s in my wedding planner apron?

apron

After several years of wearing my Oatmeal Lace wedding planner apron to each and every wedding, it was time for an upgrade – especially with my new last name and business name switch! My brand new Stephanie Shaul Events apron is simply fabulous, and I am so very excited to pull it out for its first wedding in just a few short weeks in March! I worked with the amazing McKay of Oatmeal Lace to design an upgraded apron that reflected my slightly evolved and more refined brand… something a little more elegant and less playful, something that wasn’t natural linen (this apron gets a whole lot of love and I wanted something a bit darker), and with my same brand colors… but with a different apron palette! I adore what she came up with: the dusty blue linen, the coral ribbon trim, and the pop of coral and navy on my new logo. This apron is worn at every wedding that I plan, design, and style, and it is the most functional thing in the world. I could sing its praises and its immense handiness and functionality for days and days!

So what do I keep inside my beloved workhorse of an apron?

Everything – ha! I like to think my apron holds as much as Mary Poppins’ limitless magic carpet bag. I always have my timeline, floor plans/layouts, pens (including a nice one) and a Sharpie, floral pins, safety pins, my phone, a portable phone charger, a lighter (for all of those candles and sparklers), scissors (one can never have enough), tissues, and somehow, I almost always end up with a set of someone’s car keys by the end of the night!

I shared even more over on the Oatmeal Lace blog about the heart behind Stephanie Shaul Events and the couples I love to serve, how I got into the wedding industry, and more. I’m so grateful to McKay for featuring me on her blog – and that she has created the most functional and beautiful aprons that make my job so much easier and smoother!
