Savannah and Alex’s October 7th wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale! Literally, it was Disney themed, and their wedding day consisted of a horse drawn carriage, a plethora of Cinderella touches, a love straight out of a fairy tale, and the sweetest, most fun family and friends.
Savannah wanted her special day to be completely Disney and Cinderella inspired, and everything down to the menus and their dessert had touches of Disney magic. The Virginia Dare Ballroom in downtown Raleigh was decked in gold flitter and flatware, pumpkins, light Cinderella blue, and crystal. It was truly out of a movie! Savannah’s mom (with Savannah’s input, of course!) dreamt up all of the stunning details and design, and it was our privilege to bring the wedding day to life and to execute their vision. From the light blue bridesmaid dresses to the lush white florals to the ceremony harpist to the horse and carriage getaway to the first dances to the surprise appearances by both the UNC and NC State mascots to the sparkler exit… it was all a fairy tale for these two!
Savannah and Alex said their “I do’s” at the All Saints Chapel where the aisle was lined with greenery, lanterns and candles, and a stunning gold detailed runner adorned with “And they lived happily ever after.” Savannah’s ball gown dress was absolutely breathtaking, and she fit the role of princess perfectly – as sweet as a belle!
It was such an honor to work with such an amazing couple and see their dreams come to life! It was a tremendous joy to be a part of their big day from start to finish. I met with Savannah and her mom throughout the year, and we always talked nonstop, have so much on common, and were so excited about every detail of this wedding. They are the sweetest family, and their wedding day radiated joy, love, classic elegance, and the wonder and magic of Disney and Cinderella. The photographs from Your Still Life Photography are beautiful, and I can’t get enough!
