Janna here! As a new intern for Stephanie Scholl Events, I was SO lucky to attend The School of Styling’s Summer Bash last month! I went without knowing anyone except for Stephanie and left with numerous new contacts and friends.
Always amazing styling by TSOS women (I love all the citrus!), Paisley and Jade vintage furniture I am practically dying to own one day, and the sophisticated Merrimon-Wynne House location… the evening was nothing short of gorgeous and incredible.
I had the opportunity to attend two mini workshops and get a taste of what TSOS is all about while I was there! One workshop was Hands-On Flat Styling where I learned from the incredibly talented Kaitlin Holland and the other was Collaborating, Networking + Brand Partnerships where I learned from the lovely Lauren Hooker.
During the Hands-On Flat Styling workshop, I got great hands on experience by styling my own invitation suite! This was my very favorite part of the evening as I felt comfortable, yet challenged, and accomplished by my final product!
In the Collaborating, Networking + Brand Partnerships workshop, Lauren Hooker emphasized why it is so important to reach out to others for advice, opportunities, or just to introduce yourself. This was so relevant to me because that is exactly how I became Stephanie Scholl’s intern!! Who would have ever thought one email and one genuine conversation could lead to such an amazing experience?
An enormous thank you to Stephanie and to everyone at TSOS for a beautiful and perfect introduction to the event planning and creative industries. Without women like you all, positive and inspiring learning experiences like this would not be possible. I am so excited for what is to come!
