I’ve been counting down the days til this editorial shoot, and I’m giddy that this week is finally here! The wonderful Amber Hatley will be bringing this winter elegance vision to life, and I am so excited to have Amber work her magic on this shoot. Think: romance, sweet berry tones, rustic elegance, winter-inspired details with plenty of textures, gorgeous florals, organic paper details, unexpected elements, and intimate love. Oh goodness! We’ve been dreaming and scheming, and I cannot wait to create some magic this week at The Parlour at Manns Chapel. I’ll be sharing some more sneak peeks on Instagram throughout the week and on shoot day, so be sure to follow along.

  1. Hi Stephanie. I’m a fan of yours and love your positive attitude, but all we ever see you do are styled shoots. Do you ever plan any weddings? Would love to see something different now and then.

    1. Hi, Savannah! Thanks for asking! I definitely do plan weddings, but I’ve happened to have had more styled shoots these last couple months. I just shared a wedding on my blog about two weeks ago (such a pretty one in Charlottesville!), and I’m busy finalizing plans for a wedding I have on New Year’s Eve! As much as I try to evenly space out wedding and styled shoots – and what I share on my blog and social media – sometimes one is going to be featured more than another dependent on my schedule and calendar. I planned nine weddings in 2015 and had five styled shoots (four of them in the last four months, since I just went full-time with my wedding planning!). For me, at least, styled shoots are a good way to get my name and business out there, especially since I’m new to the area. I’ll try to keep your thoughts in mind as I share future work, though, since wedding planning is very much my job… though styled shoots help grow my business, connect with other vendors, and share my style/design/work with future clients and couples! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and thank you again!
