I’ve been busy behind the scenes over the last couple months refining my business and its core + delving into more of the heart and the core of Stephanie Scholl Events. I loved my time with Kaitlin of The School of Styling during our one-on-one coaching, branding, and styling session, and I also loved the hands-on experiences and behind-the-scenes tips during the Styling with Dear Sweetheart Events. And after much consideration, the trajectory of my business, and building my brand to reach my ideal clientele, it’s time for a new logo to match what the core of what Stephanie Scholl Events is.
I have been using Pinterest very loosely for some initial inspiration, pulling together colors, moods, textures, typography, design elements, lighting, etc that deeply resonate with me and my brand. Here’s a sneak peek of part of my brand inspiration board
When I look through this Pinterest board as a whole, it makes me giddy with excitement! I carefully curated this board to reflect a plethora of qualities that make up my brand, as well as the vision and the mission behind it. I love all of the colors (as much as I love the simplicity and cleanliness of neutrals, I also love a good splash of well-placed color!), the emotions and feelings evoked (lots of love, joy, & hospitality), and everything else. It also helps to write a quick note with each Pin of why you are attracted to that picture – it might be for the font or for the emotions or for the design, etc. Some of my Pins are wedding-centric, but not all of them, as you should not be solely inspired and draw inspiration from just your industry (weddings, for me!). Looking outside of the wedding-box is healthy, helps me generate unique content, keeps me from comparison, and brings even more life to my brand and my work.
I can’t wait for my logo designer to send over the first drafts of her take on what the Stephanie Scholl Logo should be! I definitely sent her the link to my brand Pinterest board for a little peek into what I love, what I’m inspired by, and what the core of my business is. I’m so, so excited for this process to unfold, and I also can’t wait to reveal the big updates with y’all soon!
SOO excited to see this new logo, Steph! I know it will be beautiful and a reflection of your amazing brand. It’s been so inspiring to watch you grow your business!
Thanks SO much for your excitement!!! I’m pretty darn pumped myself. It’s been quite the journey, and I can’t wait to share more soon! xoxox
I never thought about using Pinterest as a sort of inspiration generator. I’ll have to rmember that next time I’m stuck on a design :).
