Where do you even begin with a wedding as beautiful and as meaningful as this one? Every moment of Ashley & Ian’s wedding was interwoven with something so special and meaningful to them as a couple, and it was a true testament to their long-standing love story. These two are true high school sweethearts, and I’ve loved witnessing their love grow and grow for one another throughout the last decade. I have known both Ashley and Ian since they were young, and Ashley is like a little sister to me. Though they are very dissimilar in some ways (Ashley is super girly-girl, in the best way possible!), at their core, they are so similar and are clearly perfect for one another. They’ve grown up together & know one another in their deepest core, and I know their wedding was a beautiful reflection of this. So many friends and family came together to make the magic of this amazing wedding happen, and I know Ashley and Ian are surrounded by so many loving, giving family members and friends. It was an honor to be their wedding planner and a guest (which is probably one of the best things in the world!), and I had the best time trying to make their wedding planning process and wedding day as stress-free, special, meaningful, beautiful, and fun as possible for the two of them as they kicked off their married lives together.
All of the florals were done by Ian’s incredibly talented mom (I’ve known Shelly for years, and she is seriously amazing!!), and aren’t they absolutely breathtaking? I know Shelly perfectly executed the vision Ashley had, and she even surpassed Ashley’s expectations so much!! I don’t think I’ll ever forget Ashley and Ian’s reactions when they saw their reception space for the first time. Unforgettable! From the sweet moments all morning with the beautiful bridesmaids (I’ve known many of them for years and years, and my own sister was a bridesmaid!), to the gorgeous and sunny January weather, to the beautiful and glamorous Morehead Inn space, to the little moments of getting the bride dressed and jewelry on, to the moment Ashley saw herself in the mirror fully decked out, to the laughter and love all throughout the day… it was a marvelous wedding to remember! Every little detail was thought out, the day was quite seamless, the Southern-style BBQ dinner was devoured, the sentimental & funny toasts were given, the dance floor was packed, the sparkler exit was perfection. I think Ashley and Ian had a pretty wonderful start to their married life, and I was deeply honored to have been a part of it!
