Yellow & White Wedding Flowers

May 19, 2015 ~ Stephanie Shaul ~ 1 Comment

I had the honor of doing all of the florals for my May bride's wedding at Wolftrap Farm in Charlottesville, Virginia! Beth Anne and her now-husband Chris were fully on board and excited about having me do all of the floral design and floral arranging for their wedding, and needless to say, I was so … Continue reading Yellow & White Wedding Flowers

Ribbon Bouquets

May 4, 2015May 4, 2015 ~ Stephanie Shaul ~ Leave a comment

One wedding look that I have been loving lately is the look of long, varied ribbons flowing from bouquets! This classic-looking trend has been around for a while, but I've definitely noticed a resurrgence in the last year or two. And I honestly can't complain! I absolutely love the look of longer ribbons trailing from … Continue reading Ribbon Bouquets

Style | Hairbows

January 15, 2014 ~ Stephanie Shaul ~ 2 Comments

It's time to talk about hair accessories... and I just love ribbons and I love hairbows! It's definitely a blast from the past, but I'm wholeheartedly attempting to bring hairbows back in style. I've always loved tying ribbons and bows in my hair, especially with a ponytail, but I was forced to take a decade-long … Continue reading Style | Hairbows

March is here, which means Springtime is officially on its way! I get geekily excited about Spring and all that it entails: sunshine and warmth, buds and blooms bursting to life, picnics and eating outside, wedding season, outdoor adventures and long walks, sundresses and sandals, and the general cheeriness of life. This sweetheart table is the epitome of Spring to me, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
This combo of a bold antique rug, awesome historic architectural details, and sunlight flooding the room is perfection! Interior design and architecture are incredibly inspiring to me and influence my own design so much.
I long to choose joy every moment of my day and of my life, and that’s one of my biggest desires and hopes in life. I want to honor God with my outlook and perspective; with my actions and words; with my love, grace, and joy to myself, to Him, and to others. I believe that joy is something so much deeper and more lasting than fleeting happiness, and it’s also an action that you are called to seek and to choose every day. Joy, to me, has so much to do with my faith and with the hope that comes from the unconditional and never-ending love of Christ. Joy and gratitude go hand in hand, I deeply believe, and when you have a deep and profound sense of gratitude, you can find joy in countless things, big and small. When you find joy, gratitude simply overflows from that joy.
One of my favorite meaningful mementos and collections! For several years, I’ve saved all of our champagne corks from special celebratory occasions. I write the event/cause for celebration and the date on the champagne cork, and then they’re collected and displayed.
Determined to become a gardener! I’m so excited about my @floretflower seeds - sweet pea and poppies! - and can’t wait to see the magnificent beauty that (hopefully) grows from these tiny seeds.
Toasting to the start of the weekend with some bubbly! I’m particularly excited for the next couple days, and I hope you are, too! Weekends have looked so different this winter, but there are still so many ways to embrace this season and find joy in the little things.
