As you can see, taper candles are one of my favorite touches to add to a reception and wedding design! Taller, colorful taper candles are such a whimsical, elegant, and romantic touch to add to guest dinner tables, a cake table, a head table, a mantel, a bar, or really any other surface at a wedding. There are countless colors to choose from (from ivory to taupe to blues and blushes and anything in between!) and so many options for taper candlestick holders (vintage brass, wood, ceramic, tall, short). Adding soft, glowing candlelight — while bringing little, cohesive accents to carry through the wedding design — is a bonus that cannot be overlooked. Taper candles can easily elevate and transform a table and a reception, and the result is always stunning. I cannot get enough of this sophisticated touch at weddings that I plan and design (our own included!), and colored taper candles have absolutely become a signature feature of many, many Stephanie Shaul Events weddings over the last six years!
