Loving Lately

-This past weekend, Rob and I went to Charlotte for a friend’s wedding, and it was so nice to be home visiting my parents for a couple days! It also coincided perfectly with Father’s Day, which was wonderful spending the day together with my dad. I had a few wedding planning meetings while I was in town, but we had ample time to relax and enjoy a little getaway, too. Plus, it was amazing dressing up and attending Claire and Tony’s wedding at Quail Hollow Country Club! It’s been so, so long since I got to attend a wedding simply as a guest (not as a wedding planner or a bridesmaid, though I love these two roles dearly!), and it was even better that Rob and I got to attend a wedding together so soon after our own wedding! We had a blast catching up with friends, enjoying cocktails on the terrace, and dancing all night long.

-We’ve been putting the finishing touches on our first home together! Rob assembled my new nightstand while I was working a wedding, and our gallery wall (outfitted in a ludicrous amount of wedding pictures!) is now complete, too!! I’ve been printing our wedding pictures right and left, and they’re framed all over the place. It’s such a sweet reminder of the best day ever! We are loving living together, and it’s been so much fun settling into married life in our little home. Fresh peonies on my nightstand don’t hurt, either (leftover from a wedding!).

-One of my very best friends (we were bridesmaids in each others’ weddings!) had her first baby recently!! I traveled to visit them one day, and it was so incredibly special meeting sweet baby Claire! I got in lots of newborn snuggles, and Claire even fell fast asleep on me. She is so beautiful, so perfect, and so incredibly loved! Being an honorary auntie is the best.

-One word: frosé. It’s the trendy cocktail of the summer (frozen rosé), and boy it is delicious! My interns and I made sure to pop by Skinny Dip Charleston’s rooftop bar while we had a wedding in Charleston, and it did not disappoint. It was a hot afternoon, but the rooftop was the perfect little oasis with adorable details, a convenient downtown location, and amazing frosé. You better try it yourself; it’s the perfect summer refreshment!

-These fabulous friends and I got to celebrate Alexa (from Sage Paper Co) before she left us and moved to Colorado last week! Alexa and I met over 1.5 years ago and clicked instantly, bonding both personally and professionally. We’ve shared lots of coffee and wine dates, countless texts, plenty of girl’s nights, and a whole lot of styled shoot projects, and I’m forever thankful for her friendship! She also created and designed the wedding invitations and programs for our wedding day and celebrated alongside us as we became husband and wife. I know how lucky Colorado is to have you, Alexa, and I’m so unbelievably excited for this next step + new adventure!!! Cheers to dreaming big and chasing your dreams – I’m so proud of you!

-I’m loving the new mural at one of my very favorite coffee shops in Raleigh, Sola. I frequent it often, and this happy mural makes me so proud of our city. Plus, who doesn’t love sitting outside on Sola’s new patio with an iced chai latte?

Now tell me: what have you been loving lately? I’d love to hear!
