Sara and Matt were married last month in downtown Raleigh at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and 214 Martin Street, and I cannot exclaim enough about these two sweet, hilarious souls! Sara’s laugh is absolutely contagious, and I know Matt brings out the very best in her. They are perfect for one another, and their love and joy is so apparent in everything that they do! You can just see their love in the ways that they look at one another and in their shared laughter. And Sara and Matt’s beautiful wedding day was the perfect reflection of them!
Sara is one of the most organized, efficient brides I have ever had the privilege of working with, and she made my job so easy. I love a bride that knows what she wants and is simultaneously ecstatic to be marrying her groom! Sara and I also bonded over a mutual love of trailing, windswept long ribbons in bouquets, something we both had in common at our respective weddings. My own wedding was three weeks before Sara and Matt’s, but this didn’t faze Sara at all. In fact, she was so incredibly excited for us, and we were able to walk alongside each other as engaged ladies with weddings just weeks apart. Her joy and excitement for me was truly touching, and it was such an honor to help pull off their big day! We spent many coffee dates comparing notes and wedding to-do lists.
Sara and Matt’s wedding was filled with special, personal touches that added so much personality to their day, from their Catholic ceremony to the beer growlers on the dinner tables filled with fresh flowers to the sunglasses that doubled as dance floor accessories and escort cards (because their love is so blinding!). These two know how to have a good time, as evidenced by the packed dance floor all night long… and they also hold marriage and their faith to such importance. Sara and Matt’s faith and their love of life was so apparent throughout the entire wedding weekend, and their families and friends reflected their spirits so well. It was the friendliest crowd of wedding guests, and Sara and Matt’s families welcomed my team and myself with open arms! And we’re all so thankful the thunderstorms held off almost the entire day; save for a few minutes during portraits!
I was honored, as always, to work alongside the most talented, friendly, fabulous wedding vendors on this wedding day:
