Many days I dream about the day I have my first (own) home, though I’m pretty content with the house I live in now! It just seems pretty idyllic to have a cute little cottage all to myself, filled with the things I love and am inspired by the most. And, of course, friends and family to fill it with! Here are some of my favorite design and home decor inspirations lately…

With a wedding planning and design business, a calligraphy shop, blogging, and everything else going on, a home office is a priority in a next home. I love the feminine, soft touches here – the ballet pink walls, the simple white desk, the pretty and organized office supplies, and the fresh flowers.

I love the mix of patterns and textures here – the fluffy neutral rug (that packs an understated punch), the warm tones of the matching leather chairs, the woven basket, the cool colors of the painting, and the white, gold, and green decorative pieces. Modern yet classic – and oh so serene!

Clearly I love white fireplaces – there’s not much better to ground a room and add a neutral focal point. Candlesticks and tapers add height, and bringing in a touch of greenery or natural elements really rounds out this space.

What girl didn’t dream of a canopy bed when she was a little girl?! I love this updated twist on a canopy bed – how cozy would it be on a weekend morning with the sun streaming through the windows?

This chandelier is a beauty, and it would be the perfect adornment in any room (foyer, home office, kitchen, bedroom…). I love the shape of it and the pattern in soft gold.

I love a good bar cart! I’ll be sharing more on mine soon, but this is a good inspiration photo of a beautiful (and pretty small) bar cart, perfect for when you don’t have a lot of room. It’s both beautiful and functional; all that a well-stocked bar cart should be!
