Let’s talk about… wedding dresses! More specifically, I want to talk about illusion neckline wedding dresses. Goodness, this style has quickly become one of my very favorite wedding trends of late. I don’t think I would ever have considered illusion wedding dresses to be so stunning (more like stuffy and outdated, to be quite honest!), but over the last year, this trend has completely taken off and I simply cannot get enough of this look. I adore the sweet, understated style, the uniqueness of each illusion neckline, and the sheerness. It seems so sweet and feminine without be stodgy and old-fashioned.
Really, all of the below wedding dresses are absolutely divine to me, and this first picture, taken by Jose Villa for Style Me Pretty, was the original illusion neckline dress that completely turned the tables on my view of them. I am obsessed, to say the least! Whether it’s a simple sheer neck or embellished with lace or beading, every single dress here has climbed the list onto my dream wedding dress inspiration board. I love that so many illusion neckline wedding dresses take a simple sweetheart neckline strapless dress and really add character, beauty, uniqueness, and femininity to a dress.
